Patti Bergtold opened the original Lacies of Sherman in June, 1984 at Kelly Square, a landmark building on Sherman's historic downtown square. When the third floor location became a challenge for some customers to navigate, Patti decided to relocate to a more central location at Tate Plaza, near the Midway Mall.

Manager Darlene Tibbetts has been an integral part of the Lacies team for noarly 15 years. Bringing a lifetime of retail experience. Darlene manages the day-to-day operations of the bricks and mortar location.

Patti's son, Timothy, joined the team in 2006. In the past 18 months, he has worked with Darlene to remodel the store. Today, Lacies has nearly doubled its lingerie inventory and added hundreds of new items to the alternative adult toy line. Additionally, Timothy manages the online store and Information Technology for all Internet-based and freestanding electronic  payments.

In December 2008, granddaughter Annie joined the Lacies team, bringing youthful insight and new ideas to the third generation of Lacies shoppers. Annie also assists with managing the online inventory.
