Patti Bergtold opened the original Lacies of Sherman in June, 1984 at Kelly Square, a landmark building on Sherman's historic downtown square. When the third floor location became a challenge for some customers to navigate, Patti relocated to a more central location at Tate Plaza, near the Midway Mall.

Manager Darlene Tibbets has been an integral part of the Lacies team for nearly 20 years. Bringing a lifetime of retail experience, Darlene manages the sales and operations at the bricks and mortar location.

Patti's son, Timothy, started working in 2006, remodeled the store and created a customer-friendly online presence. Since then, Lacies has nearly doubled its lingerie inventory and added hundreds of new items to the alternative adult toy line. Timothy purchased the store from Patti in April 2010, and initiated the "Fake Restaurant" Bar& Girll (pronounced BARE GIRL) Concept.
